Anyone interested in a Sydney Meetup?

I'm in. The evening of April 18th is probably ok.

Any thoughts on where and what time?

Just drop me a line with when you'd like to get together. I'd rather not wait till May....

I'm more of a end user, just geting into development. Thrown up a couple of quick and dirty sites already. But it'd be great to meet others.

I'm interested in getting along on the 18th and have a web designer friend who is starting to look into drupal and might come along. I'm at the novice level so will probably be doing more listening than contributing.

I'm glad to see we have a few interested people. I was kind of hoping a few people from the original meetup might comment (and come) since I wasn't able to make it. I think last time was just kind of a pub style thing, but I'm willing to have a bit more structure if people are interested (but I still like the idea of beer). Sounds like we've got about 6 people. I also like the idea of making this a more regular thing. Time wise, how about 6:00pm? location - I would prefer something near the city. There are some places near central station or last time I think they did it in the rocks at the lowenbrau (sp?). It also sounds like a lot of people are new to drupal, so what would you like to see? Since a wednesday night will probably not be too busy, maybe we could get a room reserved somewhere. Would someone be able/willing to make a few calls and reserve some space for us?

It's the 18th tomorrow so I propose a meeting at the Hollywood Hotel as previously suggested.

I'll get there early and try and grab the sofas about 5pm, hope as many of you as possible will get down for 6pm. Please let me know who is intending coming so I've an idea about numbers.

Hey Guys,

It was really nice to meet up with everyone. For those that didn't make it, there was about 7 of us. We talked about having a regular meeting, hopefully next time with some computers around so we can discuss and share things more. People seemed really interested in learning more about "the right way" to do things in drupal, so hopefully we can figure something out. Anyways, glad to meet everyone. Put a comment below if you're still interested in putting together something regular. Also, I can start putting screen names with real faces =)
