What would you people say to a meetup in Edinburgh on the first week of Dec? 3rd of Dec is the date, I am looking for venues. If you got a great idea, please don't hesitate.
This is by all means not an attempt to exclude non-Edin people, but frankly I don't really feel like taking a car and traveling an hour or more to somewhere else.

I might be free on this night I'll have to see but with the festive season closing in things can change rapidly.
I do feel it is a little unfair on others always having to travel to Edinburgh for these meets though and if it's not going to be moved about somewhat then perhaps a mid way point somewhere might be best? After all, they have to take their car and travel.
Six of one for me, I'm already in Livingston so getting to Edin is only 20 mins or so, mind you the one in Leith took me over an hour to get to because of traffic and roadworks.

I know what you mean and I don't want to be unfair. But I know that I personally won't travel that much to a midway point, thats why i am calling out to people who want to meet locally. And I think there are others who think that they might drop by if its a short busride, but won't if its further. Seeing how small our community here is now, I don't think we are able to hold meetings that require even so much effort, but having said that I don't want to discourage people from trying to get a meeting up somewhere else though!
