Thanks to the fantastic feedback I have received about my presentations and my book Front End Drupal, I am offering workshops that are specifically geared to designers. To launch the 2010 training program I am starting with two of the most-requested topics from designers:
- Design to Theme -- learn how to convert a photoshop file to a Drupal theme
- PHP for Designers -- if you've never written a line of PHP this course is designed for you
Although these two courses are being offered separately they will complement each other. If you know you need help with PHP and you are used to working in Illustrator/Photoshop/etc for your design work I recommend taking both classes. rough time estimates for workshops

thanks for offering these courses. looks great! I'm wondering if you can provide some rough estimates for the time commitment each course will require. I realize it will vary by individual, but what do you think an average might be?

I'm excited that you're excited about them because I'm excited about them too!
I expect the materials will take about 10 minutes to read and review and up to 5 hours weekly to complete on depending on how ambitious you are. There's no "live" component so whenever you have time during the week is fine.

How often do you open workshops? and Is there material we can save and keep to read at a later time?
I am very interesting in your PHP for Designers workshop but bad timing on my part to start the class now since I like to have at least few days to prepare and work around my schedule.

The next set of workshops will be on different topics. I don't have plans to offer the PHP for Designers again this year. Registration for the course includes six months access to the materials.
