This is just a reminder that July 9 there is a mid-term evaluation:

Students upload code to code.google.com/hosting; mentors begin mid-term evaluations

A few changes...

See the following topic: http://groups.google.com/group/google-summer-of-code-announce/browse_thr...

Basically, they got rid of the requirement to upload the projects to code.google.com for the midterm evaluations. All that's needed is some place where the code can be accessed publicly. Once I finish the major work on my jabber client I plan on configuring a public Mercurial repository on my development server, and will likely post periodic snapshots of the library. The module will go into the Drupal CVS. Let me know if you guys want to us to do anything else for this.

survey, not code

There is even more updated information at http://groups.google.com/group/google-summer-of-code-announce/browse_thr...

Hello everyone,

Originally, we planned to ask all students to submit a copy of their
code to us as part of the mid-term evaluations. However, we will now
only be asking students to complete a survey rather than submit any
code to us. This change does not change any milestones or other
requirements each student has set with her/his mentor.

To summarize:

1) No student mid-term code submission.
2) Students need to take a survey instead.
3) Instructions for both mentors and students on how to complete the
survey will be sent to the program announcement list.
4) You will be able to complete the survey between July 9 - July 16th.

I'll also update the FAQ in the next few days.

Cheers,
LH
