How to disable CKEditor

I do not use any WYSIWYG Editor. Unfortunately, the CKEditor in OP 2.0 is a required module for OP_Default and OP_Audio. How do I disable CKeditor and use my good old BUEditor? Currently BUEditor is enabled but its not showing up.

Comments

Go to CKEditor global

Go to CKEditor global settings and add

ASTERISKnode/ASTERISK/edit

to the list of excluded paths.

Replace "ASTERISK" with the actual asterisk (for some reason filters on this page don't allow using one, even in code :()

Doesn't really work. It loads

Doesn't really work. It loads the basic CKEditor. The same happens when I create a node; it loads the basic CKEditor. However, when clicked on "Preview" after writing a comment on a node, it loads BUEditor.

Oops, sorry. You need to add

Oops, sorry.

You need to add both ASTERISKnode/ASTERISK/edit and ASTERISKnode/ASTERISK/add (the URLs of the edit and add pages for nodes).

Actually the following

Actually the following worked:

ASTERISKnode/ASTERISK/edit to disable CKeditor on node edit
ASTERISKnode/add/ASTERISK to disable CKeditor on node creation
ASTERISK.edit-comment. to disable CKeditor on comment

Cool :)

ckeditor disappearing

occi64's picture

I find this irritating.

One day the editor shows up in the create content pages, and/or when editing an article. Then, the next day, it can be found nowhere. Anyone know what's going on, or having the same problem.

Most annoying.

If you just want the CKeditor

If you just want the CKeditor to keep shut, use these codes in admin/settings/ckeditor/editg Here AST is the actual asterisk sign.

ASTnode/AST/edit
ASTnode/add/AST
AST@node/AST.edit-comment
admin/user/settings.edit-user-mail-AST
AST.edit-pages
AST.edit-pathauto-ignore-words
AST.edit-recipients
AST.edit-reply
AST.edit-description
AST.edit-synonyms
AST.edit-img-assist-textareas
AST.edit-img-assist-paths
AST.edit-nodewords-description
AST.edit-nodewords-description-value
admin/content/nodewords/globalAST
AST.edit-relatedlinks-fieldset-relatedlinks
AST.edit-allowed-values-php
AST.edit-allowed-values
AST.edit-update-notify-emails
AST.edit-googleanalytics-AST
AST.edit-piwik-AST
AST.edit-feedburner-useragents
AST@AST.edit-webform-AST
webform@AST.edit-extra-items
admin/AST/logintoboggan
admin/settings/actions/configure/AST
AST.edit-target
AST.edit-wysiwyg-filter-AST
admin/AST
user/AST/openidAST
AST@comment/reply/AST.edit-comment
AST@comment/edit/AST.edit-comment
admin/AST
user/AST/openidAST
AST@comment/reply/AST.edit-comment
AST@comment/edit/AST.edit-comment

I am against putting any particular editor (in this case CKeditor) as a required module in OP. But the developer must have better grounds.

Hi,

Where did you get this info from?

I need to disable few more, but don't want to ask about every single thing...

Thanks in advance,

Best regards,

M
