Drupal Groups Email Spam
I'm starting to get a little annoyed by the sheer volume of email spam coming from Drupal Groups :(
I really don't mind getting told when there's a new thread, or if there's been a response to a thread I'm already actively following, but the constant stream of chatter is doing my head in at this stage.
Is it possible to trim this down? Am I blind? I've not been able to find anywhere that will let me alter notifications of this type.

Ah now come on, this is just silly.
Why on earth would I need a notification about a thread that I created?

Hi Daniel
You can edit your subs at

There are a whole pile of options.
Perhaps set it to weekly notifications to decrease the volume

Ah now come on Alan, what do you take me for? ;)
I'm saying that that way this site (or, I suppose the subs-module being used?) operates by default is incredibly verbose.
Do the majority of users here really need to know about absolutely every single possible piece of content that gets created when subscribed to a group?
Besides, the notifications control system is very, very basic. I'm told, on this page, that I have 22 active subscriptions - yet I can't actually list them anywhere to see what the hell they are. I also can't (although the link to that page from my user edit page states I can) edit them on a per-group basis.
Either I'm actually not seeing the settings and they're right before my eyes, or I'll have to un-follow this group (and all other 'active' ones) just to stop the message spam :(
Am I genuinely the first to complain about this sort of thing?
edit This isn't Ireland specific, so I'm sorry for the off-topic posting
edit 2 And setting my options to "weekly" is bypassing the problem. The issue is that the notification service is far too chatty (for my needs, admittedly), and I'm wondering how I can tell it to calm the feck down :)
