TLD of drupalmiami.org implies you'd be able to use the domain for other things as well, that dont pertain directly to the camp event, like for instance Google Apps integration (calendar.drupalmiami.org).

Agreed. There are practical benefits to centralizing on one domain for our community.

The camp.drupalmiami.org option is really drupalcampmiami.org (forwards to) camp.drupalmiami.org. We can still market drupalcampmiami.org (even tie it into Google Apps as an alias) but forwarding to camp.drupalmiami.org would show close integration with our main efforts and demonstrate that there's a cohesive vision right out the door.

Hmm, I had posted more extensive thoughts on why I vote for drupalcampmiami.org (forwards to) camp.drupalmiami.org -- they disappeared. I'll post again.

I don't believe this poll reflects what we were in fact discussing. I fully expect DrupalCampMiami.org to get more votes when presented this way. See the above thread for more.
