If you're volunteering please checkout the OSCon Volunteer Packet, it has all the good info about what we are doing, where, and what you need to do to get into the Exhibit Hall.

In addition we have a few events surrounding OSCon, a picnic on Sunday, party on Tuesday, and D7 code sprints Thursday and Friday. Checkout the Drupal OSCon 2010 events calendar for details on what's happening and where.

Marketing

I also meant to add that reaching out to the Drupal Marketing folks is probably a good idea since they helped with the 2008 booth. One source is: http://groups.drupal.org/marketing-drupal and I believe Amazon even came to town that year.

I'm in for a good chunk of volunteer time. OSCON 2008 was my intro into the Drupal community as well :).

Clarification

Sorry if I wasn't very clear in the description. I would prefer that in order to get a sponsored sessions pass you work 4 hours or more both days (so minimum of 8 hours total). It doesn't matter to me if they are 4 hours split up or all at once as long as they are on both days to make sure we have coverage.

Since Amye is doing the time slots I'd double check with her on what she needs. Also, sponsored sessions are not all sessions or tutorials, and I'm not exactly sure what sponsored sessions are available. When I find out more I'll let you know.

Hopefully, if we raise enough funds we can get T-shirts with the new Drupal wordmark (I already have hi-res copies and permisson) for anyone that volunteers more than a couple of hours. This way you get something for helping out, and passers by know who to talk to. If anyone has questions feel free to ask, thanks!

Booth Schedule

I hacked together a Google Spreadsheet for scheduling.

Add yourself if you're going to come play.

I already have a pass but

I already have a pass but don't know my schedule yet so I will be available for some time. Sorry, this is as much as I know atm.

As far as I know, I'm

As far as I know, I'm available to help out both days, and my time is flexible. For now I'll put myself into the time slots that have only one person so far plus the first one on Wednesday, but if needed I can easily switch (or be switched) to others.

Booth Volunteering

I'm totally down for a chunk of time and I'm sure I can get some of my Metal Toad buddies to help out....just let me know when we are needed :-)

Volunteer and Sponsorship Updates

sarah_p's picture

Hey Everyone! We're still looking for Sponsors for the Booth this year, we need at least enough to cover electricity and internet. Any amount helps! Checkout drupalbooth.drupalgardens.com/donate to use the chipin widget or PayPal.

For those who want to volunteer, just add your name to the spreadsheet http://spreadsheets.google.com/pub?key=tojTKz9goetHpKmqNARWNeg&single=tr...

I'm really excited to share OSCon and this awesome summer of Drupal with you guys! Ping me if you have questions, thanks!

Big week coming up!

sarah_p's picture

OSCon is next week, and lots of exciting things are happening! To keep track I made a google calendar of the Drupal OSCon 2010 events. For volunteers I put together an information packet, which I will attach to this event, as well as bring some hard copies to the meetup tonight.

Thanks!

The summer of Drupal is quickly fading into fall, and at last here is the final blogpost for OSCon 2010, with pics, and thanks for everyone who helped make OSCon 2010 awesome. I learned so much from each of you, and am thankful to be a part of such a wonderful community! Looking forward to more good things to come. Thanks again!
