User group meeting
The next Sacramento DUG meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, July 21st, 2010 at the Hoppy Brewing Company from 5:30pm-9:00pm.
We have two presentations on theming this month.
- At 5:30, Gary Pryde will present an intro to Zen and subthemes. We usually start meetings at 6:30, so this is the "pre-presentation".
- Then, after introductions, Ben Shell will present "From Photoshop to Drupal Theme".
Also, we'll try to make some time for some lightning talks, Q&A, and find out who's going to DrupalCamp LA

First time with the group. Looking forward to discussion. I'll try to get there as close to 5:30 as I can.

Why do I get this feeling we should get a bigger room. We were packed like sardines last month...

The room at hoppy can at times indeed be cozy for our needs, but so far it has been holding capacity and we have some backup plans to open up more room if it really becomes an issue (like using chairs only, and removing tables). As far as another venue, that is a whole other thing - it took us a long time to get hoppy and it is easier to do worse than better given all the priorities that our meeting place needs to fulfill. Certainly it's up to raising as an initiative at a meeting sometime (and it has been), but that's the background.
