Now, I got a solution to views layout. The process could be made in steps.

Step 1 - short information | Step 2 - short information | Step 3 - short information

short information == 2-5 words

this way, the user can see in what level of the process he finds him self in. And he will experience a satisfactory feeling when achieving it.. (reference Ben Shneiderman)

The options that should be available during the creation of a view should only be those who are a necessity to creating a basic view. All other bells and whistles (which is a lot) should be placed in a field set called 'expert options' ..or something in that direction.

I was just about to link to that on the post above... I didn't want to spread the usability group too thin, we're already working on improving the UI for admin themes, node forms and probably much more...

Since the usability group has mentioned a way to improve the UI in one of the threads (http://groups.drupal.org/node/8365) so as to keep that thread more relevant to its topic, a new article for 'Views 2 UI' has been created to keep comments on the thread for node add/edit on topic without losing out on the opportunity to comment on the initial post about Views 2 UI.

Huh?

Sorry but I can't follow that. The post I linked to is all about improving the views UI. How is starting a new post in this group to do the same thing going to avoid spreading the usability group too thin and keep the node add/edit thread on topic?

That's where all the action is, starting this particular thread again is rather pointless imho, whether it was originally posted in another group or not. Actually, let me see if I can change that :)

Edit: yep, added usability to the audience of this post.

Thanks yoroy!!!!
