After feedback from Marilyn and Stuart, I think it makes sense to postpone the FBWC wrap party. I'll talk to Katherine about the next meetup date and try to roll into that.

Hi all, I'm back from a much needed vacation and ready to get back in gear. First order of business is the wrap party. We'll be hosting it here at emunications again (just this time), if we get enough of a response the FBWC would like to come out and personally give thanks for your contributions.

We'll review the site and the video that came out of it, talk shop and share experiences. I'll hopefully have a packaged version of the site by then for people to poke at, all priority thus far has been at making the live site rock solid.

Update: There will be wine!

Anne Budill of the women's center has kindly donated wine for us to share. Kevin mentioned something about beer, so there may be beer as well.

That sounds great, but I have

That sounds great, but I have plans for tomorrow night already. You guys have fun for me though!

I've got a pre-scheduled gig too, at 7 at Coffeegroundz. I MIGHT be able to make it, but getting to Sugarland at 6 then back into town then back home later is gonna make for a LONG evening...

Plus I'm trying to get ready for my trip to Japan.

We'll see how I feel tomorrow afternoon. Right now I'm EXHAUSTED!

You're going to love Japan

The ginza shopping district and rappongi are worth a trip if you're in Tokyo.

Tokyo: only passing through

I visited Tokyo on my first trip to Japan, but I'm mostly in central Japan. I DID wander through Ginza to find their Apple Store (one of 2 in Tokyo and only 7 in Japan at last count).

I enjoyed Akihabara in Tokyo too. Not sure if I'll make a trip TO Tokyo this time around.

Probably due to the last minute reminder, there aren't a lot of signups. Thanks for the update from those that couldn't make it, sorry to miss you.

Maybe we could do something a bit more interesting and meet up at the wine bar if the group remains smallish.

I've got two tickets to the FBWC fundraising ABBA concert here that I'd like to give away, any thoughts on a fair way to do so? It's on the 14th of August at 8pm at the Stafford Center. We've got that video from Codemark to show and there's plenty of wine to share. If you haven't already signed up, please do so so that we can plan accordingly.

On a side note, I'll be speaking at the Dallas OpenCa.mp later this month. Let me know if you'll be going, we've got to represent Houston. Check out the site for the conference, it's pulling towards Drupal and some of the sessions look very interesting.

3:30pm and two signups

I'd hate to make the two of you drive all the way out here for just the three of us. Should we just postpone this to the next meetup? Will there be a next meetup (given that it lines up with OpenCamp and CPH)? I'd still very much like to give these tickets to some desiring and deserving party.

that's ok by me - my eyes are swollen today to the point that i was wondering how i would see to drive all the way out there :-) i'm thinking of going to OpenCamp, too.

Ok, I'm calling it

Sorry guys, thanks for keeping me up to date.
