The August Brevard County meetup was held last night in Melbourne at the offices of GMRS - thanks to Gil and his employer for hosting.
Gil provided a walkthrough of Drupal Commons - we decided it was a great starting point for a groups-based sites with lots of features out-of-the box.
We also decided to plan out the topics and presenters for the next five meetups. They are:
- Image workflows (including Image Resize Filter and Insert modules) - Mike
- Chart module - Ben
- Features and strongarm - Ed
- Fusion and Skinr - Mike (and Meredith, although she doesn't know it yet)
- Messaging framework - Gil
We also talked about a potential road-trip down to the next Miami meetup to help out with DrupalCamp Miami planning.

DrupalCamp Miami
At the last Miami meetup held on Wednesday, July 28th, it was decided not to have DrupalCamp Miami this November due to the fact that we could not get a venue lined up in time.
There is no new date for DrupalCamp Miami at this time, but we still expect to have it sometime next year.
next Brevard meetup
Good news - I have found a new place for the Brevard meetup that meets all of our requirements. Conference room with projector, internet access, and within walking distance to bars/restaurants. It is a business in Downtown Melbourne.
I'll announce the location prior to the next meetup.
