The first European open event concentrating on the business side of Drupal is held from 26th to 27th of May 2011. On 25th of May we organize an additional day, which is by-invitation-only. The event is intended for managers, shop owners, customers, project managers, sales people, freelancers and generally everybody interested in non-technical elements in Drupal ecosystem. The event is also interesting for people doing business in open source and software business in general. Even though we focus on Drupal almost all topics are suitable for much wider audience as well.
The event has three different tracks: Customers, Project Management and Selling Drupal.
Customer track is all about purchasing Drupal services, sharing experiences on running a site, how to compare service providers and so on. This is the perfect opportunity for customers to meet their peers and discuss any topic ranging from how to do contracts to quality assurance and attracting talent. The chairs of Customer track are Vesa Palmu and Joonas Kiminki from Mearra.
Project Management track covers all non-technical aspects of designing and building Drupal services. Starting from how to develop business concepts taking in to account existing Drupal functionality and ending into what kind of service level agreements should you offer after the project has been completed. We have a strong focus on agile development and most sessions are likely to discuss how to succeed in your projects, do pricing or build lasting customer relationships. The chair of Project Management track is Jakob Persson from NodeOne.
Selling Drupal track has two major focus areas: How to compete against other products and companies is the first and how to make money out of Drupal is the second. Competing includes different pricing models for offered services, what kind of sales pitch to do against product X and lessons learned on what works and what doesn't. Making money takes a broader view on Drupal business considering value added resellers, hosting, software as service, training, consulting and any other imaginable business models. The chairs of Selling Drupal track are Robert Douglass and Jim Shaw from Acquia.

Looking for accomodation
Hi Finland!
I'm coming for the Business Days but find it impossible to find a hotel room in Helsinki from Tuesday until Thursday. All hotels in the city seem to be fully booked! Do any of you locals have an idea regarding alternatives? Right now there's only hotels at the airport showing vacancies, but that's quite far out of town it seems :-(
AFAIK the train, railway and
AFAIK the train, railway and metro system works well in Helsinki. I would not be afraid if the hotel is little bit out of the center.

No rooms anywhere... help!
It seems impossible indeed to actually find a place to stay during the Drupal Business Days. I've tried every possible website and phone number for all types of accommodation (hotel, hostel, B&B, you name it) in and around Helsinki but there is absolutely NO room available. If all those people are staying in Helsinki for the DBD then it's going to be an incredible event :).
If anybody reads this and doesn't mind sharing a room/sofa, if only for Tuesday night, (and obviously costs) please get in touch.
Apologies for the desperate nature of this post, it's not really my style but the panic levels are slightly raised at the moment.
On a more positive side, all my flights are booked.
Many thanks in advance
PS, thank you Ropsu Helle for the tips...unfortunately they too are fully booked :(

Found a hotel!
Thanks everyone for your help.
With help from the event organisers I've managed to find a room at Conference Hotel Rantapuisto. It's located in the East of Helsinki.
If you are still looking for a room I've booked a twin room and don't mind sharing if you are really stuck (and are a friendly Drupal individual :-) ).
Just send me an email

Some sugestions...
You could try Hotel Pasila (one stop by local train, 5 min distance), Sokos Hotel Sello (train every 10 minutes during traffic time, 15 minutes to city). Good starting point is here: http://www.sokoshotels.fi/en/hotels/helsinki/ or here: http://www.sokoshotels.fi/en/hotels/espoo/ . From Sokos hotel Tapiola Garden (Espoo) it'll take some 15-20 minutes to city centre by bus.

Thanks
Thanks to all who replied. I tried my best with all your suggestions, but Helsinki seems to have a crazy week this week. I found a hotel at the airport now. See you all on the bus!
