Anyone else up for a beginner's presentation? If not, I propose we move the start up to 6:30.

I'm working on a presentation, will announce in a few days. If anyone else has something they'd like to present, please let me know and I'll schedule it. It doesn't have to be long, and it doesn't have to be at any particular experience level.

Is Drupal the Way?

elizabethandesign's picture

Hello All,
I'm brand-spanking-new to the group and Drupal. A Web site project has come to me that requires a CMS that can handle about 300 administrators. Can Drupal handle this? If not, does anyone have a better recommendation?

Thanks in advance for your feedback!

Elizabeth,

Welcome!

Is that 300 admins making 300 updates a minute? 300 accounts - a few logged on at any time - ten updates a minute?

inquiring minds ...

Ask (maybe Pryde?) for an invite to our Skype group.

be well,
Brian

Drupal for the hundreds

Hi Brian! It's me, Elizabeth from Successful Thinkers.

I've got a client who wants to make a networking site that will have connections to chapters throughout the US. Each chapter will have its own admin making updates to their corner of the site- potentially all at the same time.

Is Drupal the appropriate platform? I'm hoping so, but I don't want to spend hours developing something for this nice client- only to have it break when it's getting used as she intends.

Thanks,
Elizabeth

100s of accounts with permissions (i.e. I can edit my own stuff and add to the common stuff) is not an issue.

My personal experience is with up to ~500 logged in grazers and ~25 light updates a minute (I like this, this is associated with that). Stock performance tools worked fine.

be well,
Brian
