Southern France
This group wants to offer a space in the south of France to meet, talk and work with Drupal.
Our meetings take place at or near Fitou, Aude.
Guests are welcome.
We talk in English, French and German.
City selection for DrupalCon 2010 still wide open
Please note that the list of cities from http://groups.drupal.org/node/26241 (as per the BoF in Paris) is just a list of possible suggestions. Please see the draft document that has been proposed for city selection guidelines: http://groups.drupal.org/node/27246
The goal is to publish that document at the end of this week (after incorporating feedback from the community) and to start receiving city proposals immediately after that. Since we need to have recommendations to give to the Drupal Association by October 15 the proposal phase will have to be short. The proposal phase will probably end October 1. After that we will have the proposals reviewed by the events agency to gather their feedback in time for the October 15 deadline.
If you want DrupalCon in your city/country in 2010 please review the document and add your feedback!

Drupal web site launched
Hello South of France!
I am proud to let you know that we launched the web site http://www.epizzod.com for a publishing company some months ago. This web site is quite unique - I think - because it integrates a Flash Server for audio and video comment recording.
But the reason I am writing about the project is because I am searching for collaborators in France who want to help me to resell a similar setup for a publishing company, preferably in France. We can organize a Skype conference call if someone is interested and I can give more details on the project.

We need some tasks to be done QUICKLY and CLEANLY on the Taxonomy_Quick_Find.module.
These tasks will paid/sponsored, please make us an offer through my contact page or doc2@drupalfr.org.
Here there are:
Only list nodes that users can view - respect access module grants
Making stable "Node lists in collapsed nodetype-fieldsets"
Changing taxonomy term causes results to collapse but they never expand/slide down again

Hello South of France! ;-)
I am currently thinking of moving from Montréal, Canada to the "south of France". I was thinking moving close to the Pyrénées Orientales since it looks like it's a perfect combination of mountains (I am Austrian!), the sea and a mild climate (btw, don't visit Montreal in winter!).
So I would like to know what's going on Drupal-wise in that area? I am developing and managing Drupal projects since 3 years and I start slowly searching for projects in that area. I know I should not expect too much but I am curious to hear opinions... or get tips! :-)
Drupal + SVN
I'm trying to put using something like SVN to keep a live, and a testing site "in sync"
Here's the theory:
For all module - keep the module code in SVN, then you can see when changes are made, roll back, etc. Once the "testing site" it working well - you can simply svn update the live site - and it should work....
Great for modules - what about their setup data?
Here we get into the "problem" of "user data" and "module setup data"
In principle "user data" can be ignored - in the test site, it might just be some test data

Darko
I develop sites with Drupal now. Before I worked in the IT industry for 15 years.
I live with my family in small village Alzen near Foix, Ariege, and I am dedicated to Potato Oriented Development, you can read more about it on our original site: earthpple. Now I started new site for my new french company i-Chaumiere. I am looking for more work, particularly work in France or Integrating Drupal with Oracle.

In our meeting we asked a few questions. It would be nice if you can contribute a few words and/or a link. This should not be a big load of extra work. We are lucky about hints from people who share the same needs and don't find a soilution in the Drupal handbook :-)

What's up in Southern France
The idea of this group is to have more or less regular meetings for people who work with Drupal and/or are curious to know, what Drupal is.
My Name ist Hagen.
Since 2006 I live in Fitou, between Narbonne and Perpignan.
I am originally from Germany and I am trying hard learning French :-).
For me it would be nice, if I find a bunch of Drupalers in the Languedoc or even the south of France. The name of the group was originally Fitou, but the "drupalgroup admin" changed it to southern France - not bad ...
