HTML 5

Another responsive Omega-based Drupal 7 mobile site from Forum One (www.forumone.com). This one uses JS Maps (www.drupal.org/project/jsmap) to make the SVG maps & data mobile friendly. Again, another solid example of Drupal on the mobile front.

The US Chamber just launched FreeEenterprise.com with a responsive theme on Drupal 7. It's a consolidation of three previous sites into a single magazine style web property, all mobile friendly. A great example of Drupal's mobile potential.

Overview:

There are basically five major tasks to complete which will be covered by my proposal as well as my timeline of two months, of the Summer of Code. All of these features are majorly inter-related and will help in the incorporation of the exciting new features of HTML5 within Drupal 7. At the end of the task Drupal will be more user friendly, interactive, as well as provide higher level of flexibility and more features. The major features of HTML 5 involve:

Visualize is a Views style plug-in for implementing the jQuery Visualize charting tool.

jQuery Visualize provides accessible charts providing textual information to non-visual users.
It uses a technique with JavaScript to scrape data from an HTML table and generate charts using the HTML 5 Canvas element.
