DrupalCon Portland BOF: Drupal in Latin America
At DrupalCon Portland, a small group got together to discuss Drupal in Latin America. We talked about the challenges and the opportunities of spreading Drupal in our region.
A Retrospect for 2013 so far
In a retrospect, the first 4 months of 2013 went amazingly well in Latin America. In 5 DrupalCamps, we were able to reach 1250 people!

New admins/moderators needed for Drupal's Latin America group
Drupal adoption and use, and the community around it, are growing more and more. For example, there are good possibilities to celebrate the first DrupalCon Latino soon, probably the fourth quarter of this year 2012, in Brazil this first time.
There is another group for the DrupalCon Latin America organizers, while the Latin America group is more for the users of this and other community activities (drupalcamps, etc.).

Leia maisReport on the March 7, 2009 meeting of the South American DrupalCon Organizing Committee
With the presence of DrupalCon DC 2009 attendees coming from Argentina, Brazil, Colombia, Peru, and Venezuela, and with the participation of Greg Knaddison (Drupal Association General Assembly member who has travelled extensively in South America) and other Drupalistas with ties to South America, an historic meeting of the South American DrupalCon Organizing Committee, chaired by Drupal Association Board Member Cary Gordon, was held on Saturday March 7, at the DrupalCon DC 2009 venue, the Washington Convention Center. The clear intention of holding a DrupalCon in South America in June, 2010 was formally announced to the Drupal Association and to the world at large. In addition, a series of DrupalCamps were announced for this year: Sao Paulo, Brazil (April, 2009); Buenos Aires, Argentina (June, 2009); Lima, Peru (September, 2009).
