Latin America
Latin America Drupal users community
Welcome to this meeting point for participation and communication on Drupal topics related to Latin America. This is the forum to share regional and local issues that may be of interest or useful to users from more than one Latin American country, such as Drupal news, events, and other activities.
An example is events like DrupalCamps that can be of interest to users and participants from neighboring countries. It's advisable to publish these events in both the organizing local group and the Latin America group. This group can also be used for topics on participation as user in the Latin American DrupalCon. On the other hand, to collaborate in the organization of this event, the group is DrupalCon South America.
For very local issues (a city or a country), like group news and activities, small events and informal gatherings (meetups), it's appropriate to communicate in the corresponding local group. You can check the directory of Latin America groups.
And for general -non local- Drupal topics, such as using Drupal, modules, translations, technical issues, etc., it's highly recommended to use Spanish, the group of Spanish-speaking Drupal users worldwide, and the Brasil group for Portuguese-speakers, so that everyone can benefit and participate.
In this Latin America group, English is the recommended language for international communication. Spanish and Portuguese are also used for local topics.

Why do we use English? [Draft]
[Draft document]
English is the standard language in this group since people from Brazil and countries abroad South America are collaborating with us.
O inglês é a língua padrão deste grupo porque voluntários do Brasil
DrupalCamp Campinas is coming!!!
Morning folks!
In two weeks we will have DrupalCamp Campinas, the first DrupalCamp in South America ever!! :)
I'm writing to invite you colegas latino americanos to join our event ;)
There are pretty cheap flights to São Paulo City and Campinas from all over SA, so if you are available in the date or willing to attend please comment and we'll try to make it happen. ;)
Cheers,
Fabiano Sant'Ana
Visita a Washington DC - Washington DC visit.
Mucho gusto
Hi everyone,
I just wanted to say that it was wonderful to meet so many of you at the DrupalCon South America BOF last Saturday. And special thanks to develcuy and the Peru crew for the awesome t-shirt, which I am wearing proudly. :)
I look forward to the next time we can hang out together, and I'm happy to do whatever I can to help make DCSA a reality, so just give me a shout.
Saludos,
Margaux / Maggie
