Open Atrium & Gradebook Module for E-learning Feature

Firstly congrats to the Open Atrium team its a really impressive product and I think is going to be the basis for many effective communities... Thank you for your hard work.
As we have seen with DrupalEd , organic groups make great classrooms.

I think a really useful open atrium install profile that could be an e-learning system out of the box ... would be a combination of DrupalED and Open Atrium

I am planning to do some work to try and see what I can can do with creating some education orientated features for Open Atrium around the following modules

Student Drupal Tech Help

I work for a group at the UW that manages a small group of Drupal sites for departments in our building. (No, this isn't a service we extend to just any department, it has to be in our building.)

However, when approached for this service, we always stress how

1) we will give you a blank drupal install, maybe a theme or two, a tutorial on how to use it and let you go to town.
2) we will not do custom design.

Ethics and virtual textbooks

Oi,

I wrote a short paper at:

http://coredogs.com/article/professors-sell-virtual-texts-ethical-problem

on the ethics of an instructor selling his/her own virtual text to his/her own students.

Please let me know what you think (or if you see any typos :-) ).

Rubric and Assignment Studio Modules Released!

I've been rambling / showing off aspects of these two modules for almost 1 and a 1/2 years now and FINALLY they have been completely rewritten in an open way. They are two separate modules though I'd recommend using them together as that's how they've been tested fully. They are currently being used during our active semester in 4 courses and so far results have been very positive. If you're looking to do online assessment with Drupal, this is a big component and I hope that I can integrate my solution with other projects discussed in this group.
