Creating an online school with Drupaled
I am currently using drupal and I am in the planning stages of creating a "online school" per se. With all the modules out there, I am not sure which ones to use and if they would work as intended. My outline/workflow would be as follows:
- Create a teacher role
- Allow teacher to create a "class"
- Allow users to enroll in class with and without payment (Ubercart, Userpoints, something)
- Grant access rights to class once payment recieved

Drupal and Education at the Drupalcon'08 in Szeged
I just submitted a session/BoF/panel proposal for DrupalCon in Szeged suggesting ways of helping Drupal make greater inroads in the education sector (including research): http://szeged2008.drupalcon.org/sessions/what-does-education-sector-need.... Any feedback is appreciated.
I thought I'd start a thread where we could discuss what else the Drupal in Education/Drupal in Academia and Research crowd can do in Szeged. Please post comments with suggestions/ideas for other sessions, BoFs, or just let each other know who's coming.
Looking into OG side projects
I'm redo'ing our infrastructure and currently looking into Organic Groups as the major solution to our multi-site, distributed / replicated user accounts, EVIL monster that I have going at the moment :). So, that in mind, I'd like to move from 1 install base, 1 database per course to 1 central database for all of our course infrastructure.
K-12 Rollout, Phase 2
Greetings and Salutations,
Adams 12 Five Star Schools (K-12) Case Study
Adams 12 Five Star Schools is very pleased to announce our newly-redesigned, SQL Server-powered Drupal Web site! Our site exemplifies the power and flexibility of Drupal. It is also speaks to the quality of community that helps develop, instruct, and support the Drupal project. Without this exceptional and active community, our site would not have been possible. We're continually working to improve our site and welcome your feedback. (Sorry for the delay, I had promised this write up a while ago but have just now had the time to put it together).

Journalism students convergence website
Hi everyone
I work for the University of Sheffield's Department of Journalism Studies as IT Officer. For the second year running I've developed a convergence website. This year using Drupal.
We run postgraduate courses in print, broadcast, web and magazine journalism and for the past two years have added a convergent element to the courses, as we understand (as does the rest of the journalism education community) the importance giving students a relevant and broad understanding of new media within journalism.
Diigo, Educational tool or best educational tool
If you've never herd of Diigo.com (as I haddn't before last week) then you should probably go and research it a bit. It's like delicious on steroids and integrated better then any product I've found yet. This has been posted on here because I've created a drupal in education group: http://groups.diigo.com/groups/drupal-in-education
