shipping

I am shipping (via Fedex) products (furniture) that need to be split into multiple boxes. Currently I have some products that ship in 5 separate boxes. I'm thinking that I need to figure out how to "attach" boxes to my product so that when it is added to the cart the boxes are added as well (but not shown). That way at checkout it would calculate the shipping for all the boxes.

Is there currently any way to handle this in Commerce? What direction should I go? I'm migrating from Ubercart and I'm not quite up to speed...

So for Drupal Commerce, Rules is used for calculating shipping.

In my case, I want to calculate shipping based on distance...EG:

0 - 25 miles FREE
25 - 50 miles £10
50 - 100 miles £25

This would require that rules takes the customer postcode, and compares it to my postcode using Google Maps to find out the distance, and then spits out the price.

The problem is I have no idea how to do this in Rules! So any help would be very much appreciated.

Magento Cart have something similar as a plugin, but I've seen nothing for any other ecommerce systems.

We have a need for a contract person who is very familiar with Ubercart and it's shipping features.

Specifically we are looking for someone who can configure shipping (and document the process) to accomplish the following things:

-Account for Tare weight's. This is adjusting for box and packaging shipping and things added after the sale

-Differentiate USPS domestic and Intl shipping practices

I'm having some issues with the Shipping options of my Ubercart store. I have tried to configure the shipping methods using some conditional actions and simply not working in the desired way. I am in urgent need of a Drupal/Ubercart specialist to look my shop over to help me set this up.

In Drupal 4.7 or 4.6 it was possible to set the shipping charges based on the total cost of items.

This would be very similar to what PayPal offers.

I cannot find anything like that in Drupal 5, using eCommerce 5.x-3.3. The user documentation downloaded with the module (docs/user/index.html) still mentions this options, but it is obviously outdated (screenshots are from Drupal 4.7 or earlier).

Calculating shipping using one of the major carriers is an overkill in my case (and I assume in most cases). A simple, basic, shipping calculation method would be very useful.

Is there a way to set a specific shipping price per item? I thought i had used this in e-commerce last year on a different site, but now i can't seem to find it.

I just installed the e-commerce modules last night, and have been trying to figure out how to implement it on a courier company website, so that users can get instant price quotes after entering a few variables.

I have failed to do this , anyone know if this possible and if not any cheap or open source ways of doing this.

mrmachine is writing an Australia Post shipping inc for shipcalc. This is superb and I'm hoping to do a review to get this committed. Annoyingly, any input I have into this is part of an upcoming job, so I an constantly limited by roadmaps and whimsical clients.

So I'd like to rally any other possible testers to jump on this bandwagon? People who might already have API keys for example, or have used Aust post shipping in other ecommerce systems.

Hi everyone.

I just installed the 4.7 e-commerce package and have configured a webshop. However, I can't seem to find the shipment settings I had i the 4.6 version of e-commerce. The shipment module is installed and active, but this doesn't give me any shipment options. I don't want to use a separate module for shipmens (UPS, Airmail ++ modules). In the 4.6 versions I simply used the "standard" shipping calculation functionality where I could setup the following:

- Shipping costs based on number of items in shopping cart.

- Shipping costs based on total price of shopping cart.
