another virtual domain issue

I want to keep this quesiton separate from this node: http://groups.drupal.org/node/11737
but I have an aditional question reguarding the virtual sites module.
what if I wanted to have the following:
www.domain1.com
site1.domain1.com
site2.domain1.com
site3.domain1.com
www.domain2.com
site4.domain2.com
site5.domain2.com
site6.domain2.com
so, is this something that virtual domains can handle?
is there a better way to do this?
