I will be in Bangkok from February 13 until February 16 on my way to a conference in Pattaya.

I would love to meet any Drupal Developers who are in the Bangkok area for lunch or drinks.

An especially strong interest is to hear from local developers about multi-lingual sites, especially since I've been helping with a NGO's site there...

A new Bangkok based Travel Company is seeking a Small Team or Freelancer, with outstanding Drupal skills, to offer ongoing support and development work for their new portal.

The portal has been developed by an overseas company, but we would like to move support and ongoing developments to a local Bangkok company or individual who can offer reliability, expertise, creativity and forward thinking.

Subject: Bangkok-based Drupal back end developer needed

supply2retail.com wants to create an online distribution system for the restaurants of Bangkok. Our web site will handle ordering and payment, providing the link between suppliers and retailers.

The web site will accommodate several sellers, who will update the information on their own products, such as prices, stock status. The administrative back-end interface will have to be clean and easy to use.

As you may have noticed, Singapore was granted money for Community Cultivation by the Drupal Association so that we can bring in an international speaker to our DrupalCamp.

Is there anybody you would like to invite?
The funds should be sufficient to bring in somebody from Europe and maybe somebody from the States if we use sponsor money to top up.

1) include the name of the proposed guest
2) write a short explanation why you think we should invite this person
3) what you think are the benefits for the drupal community in singapore / South/SE Asia

Alternately, add to the discussion that you second one of the proposed candidates.

Note that I'm including some groups in the region besides Singapore - there might be funds available for a stopover somewhere else in Asia, so I also encourage members from nearby countries to suggest candidates for the overseas speaker.

I'm a web development trainer specialising in Drupal 7, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery, PHP and MySQL. I provide on-site training for individuals, businesses and corporations, as well as public workshops.

I am currently considering a move to Bangkok, so I'd really like to know whether there is much demand for learning these topics in Bangkok - and if teaching in English is realistic (I am hoping that many Thai web developers speak English).
