Time banking is an alternative currency system that uses units of time as currency. This group is dedicated to Drupal-based time banking software, including Community Weaver and the Time Machine installation profile, and to discussing practices for using Drupal to manage time dollars or time credits.
Downtown LA Drupal Meetup on April 17th, 2012 at Droplabs
The next Downtown LA Drupal meetup is on Tuesday, April 17, 2012 and will be at Droplabs, a Drupal event and coworking space in Downtown Los Angeles. At this meetup, we'll be featuring two presentations: Introduction to VPS Hosting and Managing Servers with Virtualmin, Featurize! and Business Model Generation for Drupalpreneurs.
Light food and refreshments will be served throughout the evening courtesy of our food and drink sponsor, Chernick Consulting. We are a full IT outsourcing organization that can help you make your computers do anything you want it to (except cook or do laundry). We have a great deal of experience following corporate policies and procedures and will gladly supply IT services for larger organizations with branch offices in Los Angeles.
For any changes to our agenda for the evening, stay tuned to this meetup announcement or click the Sign up button below (or both!) to be notified when the agenda has been updated.

At the risk of putting this in the wrong place, I'd like to know if any one can point me to how I can alter standard "create content" forms. I've been stymied for a couple of months trying to do this to test some ideas for a community portal that provides mutual credit services. Thanks.
Time Banking-Community Weaver 2.0 code available-Code Sprint?
Hi Everyone,
I hope you all got back safely from Drupalcon!
For those of you who attended the "Banking on Drupal" meetup at Droplabs in February, I wanted to let you know that Time Banks USA has made the code for Community Weaver 2.0 available on the Action Hub,

Using Drupal Commons distribution as a foundation
Hello everybody.
This is in some way call to arms! ;)
I would like to suggest CSA, Transition towns and other real-world communities and individuals to join forces and resources and help Acquia to build one community Drupal distribution to rule them all. :)

TimeBanking in the News
TimeBanking has become a hot topic in North America this month (February 2012). Two recent events have triggered tremendous responses from people wanting to join a TimeBank or start a new one. TimeBanks USA has been overwhelmed with inquiries from people who want to know more about starting their own neighborhood TimeBanks.
AARP Magazine featured an article at the beginning of the month that discussed TimeBanking. You can read it here: http://www.aarp.org/money/budgeting-saving/info-02-2012/time-banking.html
Read moreBuilding Human Resource Development functionality into timebank.
I am admin of the Occupy Wall Street Timebank and have wanted to use it for a project management experiment - applying HRD training and development for participating members, specifically to help Occupiers establish themselves through their timebank work profiles to be eligible for available housing.
Since Human Resource Development (HRD) is a system of scaled measurements - helping people and organizations to get from where they are to where they want to be, I wonder if how complex it would be to build in some of this functionality to a Community Weaver Timebank system.

The next Downtown LA Drupal meetup is on February 21, 2012 and will be at Droplabs, a Drupal event and coworking space in Downtown Los Angeles. Created by LA Drupal members for the LA Drupal community, Droplabs is the host of LA Drupal's monthly Downtown LA meetup, the weekly Pro Drupal 7 Development book study group and special events like LA Drupal's job fairs.
LA Drupal meetups follow a basic format and start off with Drupal news and announcements, local job announcements, raffle prizes and full-length presentations. As always, we'll also have community Q&A, during which time anyone in attendance can ask questions, divine answers from the crowd and give brief, 5-10 minute-long presentations known as lightning talks.
For any changes to our agenda, stay tuned to this meetup announcement or click the Sign up button below (or both!) to be notified when the agenda has been updated.
Light food and refreshments will be served throughout the evening courtesy of our food and drink sponsor, Exaltation of Larks, a Drupal strategy, consulting, development and training company with a team of Drupal experts in Los Angeles.
We'll finish off the night with more networking and a Drupal After Dark at 9:30pm.

Thanks to the leadership of Allie Micka and R.J. Steinert, the Snowball initiative to provide tools for coordinating and funding Drupal initiatives is coming to the Boston area this long weekend for its first code sprint.
We will focus on building a working alpha so we have something real to share for feedback, to refine, and to build process, message, and governance around.
We'll be working on Friday November 11th, Saturday the 12th, and Sunday the 13th starting at 10am on Friday and no later than that on the weekend days in Somerville, Massachusetts.
If you can dive into helping build this, contact rjstatic or contact mlncn for directions to the venue.
