Welcome to the Utah Drupal Users Group!
Utah is a state in the western part of the United States with some of the world's best ski slopes. Salt Lake City is the state capital.
This group is intended to teach about Drupal, help with installation and collaborate in customization and development of new functionality (modules, themes and so on). All comments and questions are welcome. Please feel free to join this group.
If you use irc you may want to join the #drupal-utah channel to discuss Drupal with local folks.

Meetups are announced as events in this page's feed. If you would like to start a meet-up and have it announced here, please let us know and we will add it.
There is a meetup in the Salt Lake City area at CentralPoint's Sugarhouse office (21061 East 2100 South, Salt Lake City, UT 84106). The Salt Lake City meet-ups are generally on the fourth Thursday of each month. An event is posted for each meetup a week or two in advance to confirm that it is happening.

Anyone going to Portland for DrupalCon?
I lived in Salt Lake for many years, then moved to Anacortes, Washington (north of Seattle in the San Juan Islands) 6 years ago. My wife can't handle the grey, cold, wet winters so we are selling the house here and will be buying or building in Daybreak. I'll return to Anacortes in the summers.
I've been active in the Bellingham and Seattle DUGs and am looking forward to getting involved in the Utah DUG when I am in town.
I'd like to meet any of you who will be at the Portland DrupalCon, if you'll let me know your name(s).

April Salt Lake Dug Meeting
WooHoo! It's finally warming up!
The April DUG meeting will be held at the CentralPoint office located right in the center of SugarHouse. Bring your computer, business cards, and Drupal questions. There will be soda (just checked the fridge, I see Mountain Dew and Sierra Mist) and maybe some other beverages.
Social hour prior to the meeting directly below the office at Salt Lake Pizza & Pasta. If you plan on going to this part let us know here so Walt knows who to look for.

December Salt Lake DUG Meetup
Time again for a DUG meetup in Salt Lake. We will be holding it at the Walker Center on the North East corner of 200 S and Main St. Signs will be placed to direct you on how to get up to the conference room where we will be (usually by calling to have someone come let you in). The entrance is on the West side of the building off of Main Street. If you are there at 7:00pm we usually wait for a few minutes for people to show up before we enter. Note that the doors are locked and most people around the building will not know about a meeting.
