The 2006, with the explosions of huge video based community websites such as Youtube, has shown how video contents are becoming one of the most direct and cool to use web communication approach.
Drupal, as a leading open source content management platform, absolutely needs a good and globally accepted video content approach.
This group aims to get ideas and coordinating efforts between the different people involved in the video content development. The goal is to provide drupal with an easy, powerful and extensible support for videos.

I released video module 7.x-2.1-alpha2 version on 11th of Sep. This major version completely redesign the video module and its core, I'm the only one worked on this release and seems our co-maintainers (6.x) had no time to contribute code to the 7.x yet. I'm very very happy about the progress of downloading and using video module. It has over 10,500+ usage now.

Playlist Video or Audio
Hi all.
I need playlist for Audio and Video. There is no module which provides full playlist functionality. Playlist I mean HTML list where user clicks and Player changes audio which information contains that HTML list element(via javascript for example).
Any suggestion? How to realize this?

More confusion with SWF Tools.... {heavy sigh}
I am trying to output video using SWF Tools with views, but am getting errors saying it cannot see the flash content. This is my testing:

?>Does SWFtools only work with flv, swf and mp3 files?
If not, is there anything that works as simply as SWFTools does? Namely, being able to use inline tags to display the video.
I have a site that uses a lot of videos in a variety of formats. The modules with transcoders are fine, except these video files are huge - 30 - 300 mg. So transcoding will take a very long time. And I've found the longer it takes, the greater the odds for the upload to be interrupted and corrupting the file. Resulting in the need to repeat the process - often many times.
