I hope everyone enjoyed the Valentines Day break - I do know that in this group our true love is Drupal!
I have this months content all lined up. We are lucky to have Drupal developers in the area who like to push the limits of Drupal.
Since this month I moved the event to Tuesday we are going to have Users Helping Users on the same day as the user group meetup. In the futore when the events are on monday the user group will be on Tuesday. I am still woking out the details, I really appreciate your patience while I get it solidified. So for now same schedule:
Users Helping Users 5:30pm - 6:30pm: Mark Ferree http://markferree.com
Come to the Commerce Guys office at 5:30pm for a 1 hour help session by Drupal Users for Drupal Users. This is turning into a helpful monthly roundtable for Drupal users, from total newbies to total experts come on down.
Site Case Study 7:30 - 8:30 - Integrating Drupal with External Systems for a Large Retailer.
Presented by: ISL Consulting
Companies often have existing systems that run key areas of their offline business which they want to integrate into their online user experience. In this presentation we’ll review how we created a new brand website for one of Hawaii’s largest local retail chains (Foodland) that integrates with a couple of their external systems. We’ll describe the integration of an external data source using the Feeds module and the integration the Drupal user account system with their loyalty card database. Finally, we'll briefly cover the site's use of Ubercart.
Technical Talk 7:30 - 8:30: Pantheon Sneak Peak
Presented by: Josh, Matt and Zac / getpantheon.com
In October of 2010 we got a really quck look at some of the stuff the Pantheon team had been working on. Now the project has matured a lot. We are really lucky that the team has agreed to come to our offices and do a presenation. This is the latest greatest Drupal based technology available and we will be some of the first people to see it. This is going to be awesome!!
Social session 8:30 to 9:30
This is where you network with the people at the meetup over a cold beer or soda.
We look forward to seeing you all down at the Commerce Guys office.
