There are numerous sites, ebooks available to learn drupal but the learners felt difficult to choose the best one among those. My suggestion would be start from here http://drupal.org/coding-standards
Drupal.org itself provides very good documentation of how to use drupal, so we can start learning from http://api.drupal.org or we can use the best ebook for drupal beginners i.e "Using Drupal". After study this book then go through the Pro Drupal development book. It covers all advanced topics.
