Hi everyone,
As discussed at the last TCDrupal phone conference this week.
I am trying to break down the Drupal audience for DrupalCamp (and other marketing initiatives).
Here’s what I came up with. It’s not exhaustive and there is some cross-over. Under each category there are organizations or individuals that we can bring into the loop, as necessary.
I plan to keep adding to this list (I’ll make a separate spreadsheet), and track down the key contacts for each organization, so that we have a comprehensive resource for mailings and other communication. If you have a contact name, please pass it on. I will set up a Google Docs spreadsheet for this to make it easier:
-
The Community. Drupal developers, designers, evangelists. Includes marketing and advertising agencies providing Drupal solutions.
• TCDrupal Group
• PHP User Group
• Drupal.org -
Customers. Corporations, non-profits, government agencies that could benefit from a Drupal solution. Marketing/IT contacts at the bigger companies in town would be a start.
• Target
• Best Buy
• 3M -
Feeder organizations. Companies that connect developers with businesses. This can include tech recruitment agencies and professional organizations.
• Celarity
• Creative Group
• STAR Collaborative
• AdFed
• BMA
• IABC
• MIMA
• AMA
• AIGA
• MWMC -
News/Media outlets. News agencies. Technology reporters. Business news channels.
• SPJ
• Minnesota Business magazine
• Pioneer Press
• Star-Tribune
