My name is Dave and I have been involved in Drupal for about the past year. I have been working in PHP for some time before that, and have been involved in a company selling items on Ebay for several years.
I am very interested in several aspects of integrating a Drupal site with the many Ebay APIs that are available: eBay Shopping API, eBay Merchandising API, eBay Trading API, eBay Client Alerts API, and eBay Platform Notifications API. I have started this group to discuss the aspects and requirements of a module that will provide a streamlined API to provide various actions and triggers to connect, retrieve and update information on Ebay accounts.
Additional modules could then connect with Ubercart and Ecommerce, provide Inventory management, customer relation management and so on.
Anyone interested please post an introduction here and we will see what can come of this. In 2007 there was discussion and some work centered around the Ebay Integration module at http://www.drupal.org/project/ebay, but this does not seem to have really taken off the ground.
I look forward to the possibilities.
