Simplified Layouts with Subthemes and ThemeKey
Arne Olafson, will be presenting solutions to "get around" some of the theming difficulties presented by inconsistencies in presentation of web data for different technologies and browsers, using the ThemeKey module. It is very effective when used with the zenophile module for creating Zen subthemes. From creating different menus and links, to block layout, the themekey module offers an opportunity to keep our awesome Flash applications without leaving blank space in the iWhatevers, and to allow simplified content for the dreaded versions of Internet explorer and other non-standards-compliant browsers.
In addition, some javascript will be explored to sort out some of the more minor inconsistencies of css interpretation.
In addition to his drupal addiction, Arne studies and plays music with an enthusiasm somewhere between religious devotion and obsession.
Lightning Talks
Attendees are invited to share their experience by giving a 2 to 4 minute presentation on any topic of interest to the Drupal community. If you want to use a laptop to show a website or control panel please be sure you have the necessary cable to connect to an overhead projector.
