For many years, developers and technical-minded folks working in
public media have tried to share code, resources, and ideas.
Unfortunately, most of these initiatives have found little traction or
failed altogether. And yet everyone in public media seems to
understand that developers should not be solving the same problems in
silos and that we should communicate better, establish best practices,
and share more code.

Within the past year or so, an unprecedented opportunity to
collaborate has presented itself because numerous public media
organizations -- including Chicago Public Radio, Minnesota Public
Radio, New Hampshire Public Radio, NPR, PBS, PRI, WGBH, Wisconsin
Public Radio, and many others -- have moved to Drupal.

At the February meeting of the Twin Cities Drupal User Group, come to
hear our own Matthew Tift, the lead Drupal Developer at Wisconsin
Public Radio, talk about the challenges that public media
organizations have faced in the past and how they are trying to use
Drupal, and its community, as a site for sharing.

This is also an opportunity for you to suggest potential areas of
collaboration (modules, installation profiles, etc.) for public media
and relate your experiences in other sub-groups of the larger Drupal
community. Matthew will be bringing your ideas to a public media
Drupal developer's clinic that he will be leading for the Integrated
Media Association at SXSW in March.

We hope you can make it!
