To use as some points of reference, this lists some of the available Electronic Lab Notebooks (ELNs) that are currently available, either as free and/or open source or as commercial packages.
Open Source ELNs
- MyLabBook - Open source ELN based on Drupal.
- MyTea Lab Notebook - Open source project from England to use lab notebooks with Grid computing. Seems to not have had much development since ca 2006.
- Pacific Northwest Labs ELN - Apparently developed under a government grant, this also has not seen much activity since ca 2006. Written in Java.
Commercial ELNs
- Rescentris - Advanced ELN primarily for biology research.
- IA-DLN - Concentrates on compliance with the 21 CFR Part 11 security features that are useful for patent litigation.
