Apologies if this is a simple issue, but I've been pulling my hair out over it for a few days now.
I'm using Content Profile to make my user profiles nodes, but I can't seem to get comments on my user pages.
My profile node type is set to have comments and the comment form appears when you go directly to the node page (e.g. node/123).
However, when visiting the user page (user/123) all the content from the profile node is included except the comment form.
The issue here (http://drupal.org/node/245251) suggests you need to 'takeover' the profile completely, but when I do (http://drupal.org/node/236467) I still can't see the comment form.
Basically, I just want a simple guestbook/wall on user pages and thought I could do this with Content Profile without installing another module.
Are there others out there doing this? Am I missing a simpler alternative? Should I just install the Guestbook module http://drupal.org/project/guestbook?
