I really liked the stated philosophy of the Dript module author of going back to the simple roots of LISP, eg. before all the OO and other extensions and complexifications grew LISP into yet another hard to learn language. The following two books, while old, have the benefit of presenting the language in it's original elegant simplicity.
Toward that end I found a classic LISP text book "LISP 1.5 Programmers Manual", by it's original creator John McCarthy, available used on Amazon at a very reasonable price.
For those wanting to explore some of the AI applications of LISP, I also found the following book from the good old days of Altair and Apple II, a volume of the Addison Wesley Micro Computer Series entitled: "Looking at Lisp" at the amazing price of just $2.13, also used on Amazon.

AutoDesk's Autolisp
Even though Autolisp is a commercial products but it had given Lisp a big mileage. Autolisp is a scripting language for AutoDesk's AutoCAD a computer added design system. Learning Autolisp will give us idea how to make Dript work greatly with Drupal. Autolisp exists since early 80's until today and doesn't show any sign of extinction. Currently it has been superseded by VisualLisp. However many AutoCadences are still opting for Autolisp.
