No Drupal core release on Wednesday, February 6

The monthly Drupal core bug fix release window is scheduled for this Wednesday. Although it has been three months since the last bug fix release, I've decided to hold off and not schedule a new one for this month for the following reasons:

1. We need a bit of a break (there have been security releases the past two months, most recently Drupal 7.19 a few weeks ago).
2. There are outstanding release blockers and change notifications that the community still needs to work on for the next release, as well as a small backlog of issues that have had some review and might be close to getting in.
3. A large change to the Field API was committed only a week ago, and it could use more time in testing before a release to make sure it doesn't cause any problems.
4. There are a lot of other things going on this week, including DrupalCon Sydney and the march towards Drupal 8's "feature complete" date of February 18!

All that combined means this week is not a good time for a Drupal 7 release.

• Wednesday, February 20 (security release window)
• Wednesday, March 6 (bug fix release window)
