What is this class about?
If you've never used Drupal and would like to understand how sites are built with this popular CMS, this half-day, hands-on class is for you. After the class you will:
- Understand how a typical site is built in Drupal.
- Be familiar with Drupal specific terminology such as fields, views, node, block, page.
- Know what skills you need to develop to reach your goals.
This class is being offered free of charge by The Greater Kansas City Drupal Users Group and VML.
Before you come to class
- Go to drupalgardens.com and sign up. You will build a site here during the class.
- Go to http://training.acquia.com/hellodrupal to learn more about the session.
- RSVP at the Kansas City Drupal Users Group Meetup page.
Practicalities
- Bring a laptop with you! Computers are not provided.
- Best location for parking is the parking garage ($1.50/hr): 1501 Irving Hill Rd.
- Lunch is not provided, but there are several places on campus where lunch is available.
In the afternoon
We will also be hosting an open forum, Ask the Drupal Nerds, in the afternoon where anyone can bring any question about Drupal and (hopefully) get a great answer.
The meetup is part of the next Drupal Global Training Day.
Already a Drupal user? Come and help those who are just starting out!
