Join us this month as we:

  • Meet & greet: Intros...Who are you? How are you involved with Drupal, If you could have had the starring role in one film already made, which movie would you pick?
  • Discuss Drupal 8 and the recent fork that's causing a commotion in the community. What does this mean for the Drupal community? How does this affect newcomers who are trying to onboard to Drupal? Will this fork change any future decisions for Drupal 8 development?
  • Engage with Presentations: Have you...Recently accomplished a big win using Drupal? Learned a neat trick that saved you a few gray hairs? Come across something so frustrating, so time-sucking, that you're stuck and want input? This is your time to step up to the mic (we don't really have a mic but we do have a projector and whiteboard if needed) and share with the group. We encourage everyone, regardless of skill level, to think of themselves as presenters. Even if it's something that you think is insignificant, you'd be surprised how much that can help others who are learning Drupal.
  • Watch a Drupalize.me video: Drupalize.me has graciously given Drupal user groups access to their entire video library during meetups. Feel free to browse the site and let us know if you have any recommendations
  • Discuss Drupal Training Day: St. Louis has a huge need for Drupal developers but the supply isn't there. Let's organize a training day like this this fall.

Here's a link to the Google doc that I've set up for this meetup. Feel free to add your own notes/comments during and after the meetup.

Coming for the first time?
Whether you're an experienced Drupaler, or you just heard about Drupal from a friend, our meetup aims to be a place where people from all backgrounds can come and learn more about various topics related to Drupal (Module Development, Themeing, Development Environments, etc), network with other Drupal professionals and hobbyists, and get support with various issues of their own. We usually start things of with introductions, followed by any planned (or sometimes unplanned) presentations, and then Q&A/wrap up. Some bring a laptop, others bring pen & paper, but everyone typically comes with a desire to learn, help others learn, and help Drupal continue to grow.

Where: Missouri History Museum Millstone Classroom 5700 Lindel Blvd St. Louis, MO 63012
Time: 7pm-9pm
Directions:
Missouri History Museum
(At the intersection of Lindell & DeBaliviere in Forest Park)
5700 Lindell Blvd
St. Louis MO 63112
Millstone Classroom on the second floor

Parking is available on either the east & west lots (although the entrance is on the west side so I'd park there). Enter through the door by the loading dock, past the security desk and through the hall, and up the stairs straight ahead to the second floor. As soon as you come up the steps to the second floor, make a right and the Millstone Classroom is just opposite the men's restroom down the hall.

IF THERE IS NO OTHER EVENT GOING ON THAT NIGHT THE FRONT DOORS WILL NOT BE OPEN!!!
