Tell me about the Hackathon
Our film will be the provocation that spurs on over 150 Hackers nationwide, to invent joined up digital solutions to this wicked problem. This will be the first ever Hack of its kind as it will be hosted across the Cisco NVI network. NVI centre's in Swansea, Manchester, Coventry, Strathclyde, Shoreditch and Sunderland will host mini-hack events where all participants can work together in person and virtually via Cisco’s cutting edge, video presence technology. By connecting people across the country we hope to spark ideas and breed a true spirit of innovation.
Who should take part in the Hackathon?
People who are willing to give up 30 hours of their time to share their skills, passions and enthusiasm for the plight of those young people being left behind.
We’re looking to recruit a really diverse range of people and have three distinct roles including:

Hackers (to attend the whole event) – such as developers, creative technologists, data scientists, gamificationists, software engineers, innovators, designers and people with an interest in computer science, social media and other digital technologies.
We’re also keen to include people with other skills sets including marketing strategists, psychologists, researchers and entrepreneurs. -
Experts (to run surgery sessions) –such as self-determination theory scholars, presentation skills trainers, youth sector specialists, researchers and social investors.

Beta testers (to attend sessions where they provide insight and feedback to hackers) – Such as young people, youth practitioners and employers.
