The very backbone of Drupal is of course, community. Here in Ottawa we have a thriving community of developers and DrupalYOW strives to to foster that sense of community Drupal was founded on.
OPIN is hosting the 12th DrupalYOW Meetup with support from the Ottawa Drupal Association and Acquia. Whether you’re Dries Buyteart himself or just a part-time dabbler in the Drupal world, all are welcome. We intend to have a drink, share some knowledge, make friends, and by the end of the event hopefully learn something new.
At this months DrupalYOW meetup we are showcasing some of the local talent here in Ottawa by having local developers present their own personal contributions to Drupal. We will have a few presenters who have contributed a cool module, contributed something of value to the community, or maybe even maintain one of Drupals most used modules and how you go about doing that.
Do you want to hear their story, how it made a difference in the Drupal Community, and left their "Made in Ottawa" mark on the world? Then come join us at the 12th DrupalYOW meetup and celebrate 1 year of DrupalYOW in Ottawa!
OPIN's own Ash Ahmadzadeh will be on hand to discuss a recent module that he created, which addressed a gap in Drupal modules. Fluidproject.org’s User Interface Options is a jQuery and CSS framework that provides users with accessibility options to modify a website’s font size, font style, line height, contrast, and to emphasize links and form elements. The modifications are displayed in real-time and cookies are used to retain the modifications throughout individual website.
2nd presentation TBD currently.
