Training (free or commercial)

Coldfront Labs is now offering public training courses! To help us "kick the tires" with our new training curriculum, we're offering a whole day of training for FREE (a 400$ value!). To reserve your spot, we're asking for a deposit upon registration which we'll refund to you when you sign-in for the day of the training.

Managing source code and development has never been easier with the power of git. Git allows for structured control of source code and for easier collaboration during development.
We'll help you understand what Git is, how to install / use it, what best tools to use and how to use Git for your projects.

What we'll be covering:

  • Installing and configuring git (Windows, Linux and OS X)
  • Common git commands (git init, git clone, git commit, etc...)
  • Introduction to GitHub and GitLab
  • Common git workflows
  • Git with Drupal

We recommend (but in no way require) that participants come with some knowledge of the following:

  • Installing software for Windows, Linux or OS X

This is a BYOD (Bring Your Own Device) session. We recommend bringing a laptop running a modern operating system (e.g. Windows 7 or later, OS X 10.10 or later, Ubuntu 14.04 or later). We do have a spare Windows 7 laptop available on a first-come-first-serve basis.

There is free parking available both in the parking lot as well as on the street. We'll take a 45 minute break for lunch and a 15 minute morning and afternoon break as well.

For registration information please see our Eventbrite page.
