This month's topic will be Site Factory, a new Drupal-based service under development by OIT. John Starr will present.
Site Factory is designed to allow "turnkey" Drupal sites for student groups, faculty members and researchers, and other users who simply need a place to publish basic content and don't particularly want to worry about detailed configuration or even what's "driving the site" under the hood. It will offer basic design options and useful pre-configured node types that should keep the time needed to get from requesting a site to publishing content to the very minimum.
By the 24th, we will also have completed the first round of formal usability testing for Site Factory, so our presentation will not only show the product as it stands, but also have information about the next phase of development based on the test results.
