I forgot to post an update to this group last week, didn't I? My apologizes, but actually there wasn't a lot of new things to report. You can read the post on my site regarding all the "fun" I had that week. This week, as I'm moving closer and closer to the server implementation, I made a proposal to change the way the server communicates with the client.
This isn't 100% certain right now, but I think that the new method I describe on my site will ultimately result in more efficient use of resources and faster handling of client requests. It does have a few flaws, which is why I'm asking for anyone interested in my project to review the proposed idea and give me some feedback on it. I'm going to do a bit of testing tomorrow and the day after to see if it is a good solution. In my previous update I mentioned the fact that I'd like to have the server working the week of August the 6th, so that gives me about two weeks to test and implement this new transport along with all other server components that are not yet present. Should be doable, I think.
