After the March Meetup there was discussion about the future of our group. Louis Chavez had several ideas including bringing in speakers who provide Professional Drupal services. Companies like Acquia or Chapter Three would be good examples. If you are a member of the group and you know some folks that you would want to hear from, you can contact them our send me their contact info and I will get in touch with them. Louis also suggested contacting book publishers about giving away Drupal Books at our meetups. A book giveaway would be another great incentive to come to a meetup.
Another idea that has come up before is meeting at a Pub/Bar/Restaurant instead of our current location. If you have any suggestions of locations please take a look at this discussion thread and feel free to contribute your two cents. We have had at least one local company that has offered to sponsor food at a meeting! There are a lot of smart people in our group and some real passion about Drupal. As the group gets larger and more diverse we all benefit more from being a part of it.
