Presentations:
-Todd Gee: will introduce his Drupal Script Library (toddgee.com/drupalScripts) a library of bash shell scripts that provide for the management of collections of Drupal installations. These scripts provide an alternative/extension to the functionality provided by the widely used drush system. Todd will demonstrate the usefulness of his script library and how he uses it to manage the large collections of sites for which he's responsible.
-Joseph Guagenti: will show how KB1Pro addresses the challenge of sharing and moving data between Drupal and 3rd party applications. In these demonstrations we will show you how we are synchronizing data in Drupal and a 3rd party ERP application called SAP Business One (SAP B1). We will demonstrate creation of Users and Roles in Drupal using the data found in SAP B1. We will also demonstrate how our tool parses and cleans the data before inserting it in to Drupal. If time permits and there is interest we can do a quick demo of our integration with the Ubercart module. I believe this would fully demonstrate the power of our tools and get you thinking how this tool could serve the Drupal community and you.
-Joel Finkel: it is sometimes difficult--or impossible--to use the Views module to generate the SQL query that you need. Fortunately, there is a way to work around this limitation. This short presentation will describe the problem and offer a solution. People will learn the rudimentary aspects of creating a custom module and learn how to use it plug in their own SQL.

After presentations every month CDMUG critiques a high profile Drupal site as a group. During our April meetup we will be critiquing mensa.org
Summary:
The Chicago Drupal Meet Up group is proud to present at least two featured presentations about the hottest Drupal topics each month. We have room for 60 people and all skill levels are are welcomed. If you are brand new to Drupal we recommend attending one of our free monthly training workshops.

We are always looking for additional presenters who can present a 10 - 15 minute advanced topic. Or a 30 - 60 minute presentation. Always remember the projector is open for anyone to show off a project. If you have an idea or can present - contact Matthew or http://cdmug.org/contact

All meetups will be in traditional CDMUG fashion. No dress code, relaxed attitudes, open ideas, laptop encouraged, remember business cards, and we will probably go for a beer afterwards.
