Editing the instructional video from Drupal Camp SF

We encourage users to post events happening in the community to the community events group on https://www.drupal.org.

We captured over 10 hours of video from <a href='http://drupal.org/node/58182">Drupal Camp SF a couple months back. We also have a budget in the neighborhood of $2,000 to put into editing it release. Before we contract someone out to start cutting the video, lets think about what we want to get out of it in the end.

Here is what we covered at the camp:
http://drupal-camp.org/camps/sfapril/notes

Day 1
* Bsics of the Drupal framework, community, and theming system.
* Basics of Drupal configuration
* Jeff shows us how to create an alternative navigation menu for users of sites. This will give users a much more streamlined menu interface.
* Jeff shows us his magic menus module which lets administrators turn their menu system into a fancy ajaxed draggable menu.
* Jeff explains "What is a node?"
* PHPTemplate 101 (drupal docs):
* page.tpl.php: defines the 'page' content. Title, header, body, blocks, footer, etc.
* node.tpl.php: contains the page content. I.E. Your blog post or forum post
* node-nodetype.tpl.php: you can define a different template file for indivudal node types. i.e. node-forum.tpl.php will let you
* Overriding theme functions:
* variables: allows your to pass variables between theme sections (page <-> node).
* Tools of the trade
* Dissecting the Frog: looking inside a theme

Day 2
* Jeff opens up participate.net template.php file
** Shows how to do link hacking.
** walks us through phptemplate_tinymce_theme()
** walks through phptemplate_user_picture
** walks through _phptemplate_variabes
* See latest Drupal modules
* Profile Plus
* Jeff demos Views
* Jeff demo's CCK
* Walk through theme architecture for Edutopia
* Macro Tags let's you insert dynamic content easily into pages
* Jeff explains how to implement this design for Drupal Ed
* sIFR module lets you swap out text for flash font awesomeness. More about sIFR here
* Jeff recommends when starting a theme to take the variables from Blue Marine (or a template that has all the features) and copy the variables into your new theme.

In producing a video based on the footage captured at Drupal Camp SF I would like to put a priority on salvaging the best instructional footage we have. Having some sort of video documentation on drupal 101 and phptemplate 101 would be very vaulable imo. But my guess is that folks would not watch anything over an hour or so (disagree?). If you could pick 5 things from the list above what would they be?

Here is my list:

1) Bsics of the Drupal framework, community, and theming system.
2) PHPTemplate 101 (drupal docs):
3)Tools of the trade
4) Dissecting the Frog: looking inside a theme
5) Jeff opens up participate.net template.php file
