When you built a cck field, in the setting page, there's a section named "number of values" as you've seen. In this section, the values number of that cck field to insert is 1 as default. But if you want, you can make it unlimited. I prefer to use that field as unlimited, and want to perform a pagination in the content page as the values number which's been done while writing a content. Such as, in this sort of content, I insert 10 different values while making content... In the content page as appearance, I'd like to show as it was paginated. As the buttons next and previous are clicked, the next value should be viewed. I hope I could make sense.
Note: There is a module called the cck paging, but doesn't work on me. It's currently beta.
