Class Description:
Panels is a popular Drupal module that provides you with an interface to create complex layouts of your content. In this one-day course we'll show you how to use Panels to create a custom landing page for your site. You'll see how to create different versions or "variants" of the same page that can be exposed to different types of visitors, or under different conditions. Well explain how you can use panels templates to control the display of your node content. We'll cover how to embed views within Panels, using views content pane displays. And lastly, you'll see how you can use the powerful page manager to take control of existing Drupal pages, such as the node creation page.
Prerequisites:
A basic understanding of Drupal, CCK and Views is necessary for this course.
