Scorecard for DrupalCon Europe Location
Last updated by silverwing on Thu, 2011-07-14 20:26
This document was approved by the European Regional DrupalCon Organizers after a discussion and vote on September 24, 2009.
The Location Selection Taskforce will use these criteria to evaluate locations, teams, and venues. Each item will be given 1 to 3 points. In addition, the events organizing firm hired by the Drupal Association will evaluate locations and venues with their own criteria geared at production issues, and return a ranked list of preferred venues. Finally, a preference poll open to anyone in the Drupal community will be run, and this too will generate a numeric score that will influence the recommendation to the BoD.

We have great news for you because we finished the final program and we made up our mind (finally) about our scholarships.
Program finished
We would like to thank everybody for submitting 34 the amazing session proposals. Although we had a difficult time choosing the sessions, the great proposals made it easy to come up with a program bursting with all that is hot and happening in the Drupal universe.
Checkout the 34 sessions that made it to the final program. Besides sessions you will be able to attend sprints and of course there will be enough room for BOFs too.
We're opening the event with an Open Space activity on Friday at 4pm, find more details in here.

I'm considering organizing a Drupal products summit some time this fall. The main purpose of the meeting would be to create a knowledge sharing platform for Drupal shops/individuals that are working on a product: anything built with Drupal that has a repeatable business model (can be specialized services for Drupal shops, distributions, applications, websites built with Drupal that target a certain market segment).
The main practical outcomes I hope to achieve with this meeting are:
- The creation of a workgroup that will build an ethical Drupal Application Store
- Increase of knowledge about lean startup methodologies in the Drupal community
- Strengthening the network of Drupal product companies and the creation of a mutual support community
Online PR person (Drupal Blogger outreach) - DrupalCon London 2011
The DC London Marketing Team needs to urgently recruit an Online PR person to help write press releases and distribute useful information and news about DC London to the Drupal blogging community and other interested stakeholders. The role will involve building a mailing list of Drupal bloggers, plan communications campaigns, write interesting press releases, and distribute information and goodies to bloggers. Also, importantly, get feedback from the blogger community and listen to their ideas and respond to requests for info where required.
