This is the central coordination group for planning the European DrupalCon. This group is responsible for:
- making recommendations to the Board for the location of Drupalcon Europe 2011 and beyond.
- organizing and coordinating all non-logistical details for Drupalcon Europe starting 2010. This includes: programming, speaker selection, social activities, the conference Web site.

This document was approved by the European Regional DrupalCon Organizers after a discussion and vote on September 24, 2009.
The Location Selection Taskforce will use these criteria to evaluate locations, teams, and venues. Each item will be given 1 to 3 points. In addition, the events organizing firm hired by the Drupal Association will evaluate locations and venues with their own criteria geared at production issues, and return a ranked list of preferred venues. Finally, a preference poll open to anyone in the Drupal community will be run, and this too will generate a numeric score that will influence the recommendation to the BoD.Read more
How Drupal Camp London was organised
So Drupal Camp London (http://2013.drupalcamplondon.co.uk/) has just finished today and has been very well received by all. Attendees, speakers and sponsors alike have been feeding back very positively on all aspects of the event - the venue, the pricing, the keynotes, the sessions and the organisation. Lots of people have already asked for a "How Drupal Camp London was organised" guide to be shared and so here's the initial post - feel free to add comments and questions. We shall also post a video interview here with the organisers' thoughts on putting the camp together.Read more

It is only one month to the European Drupal event you cannot afford to miss: the Drupal Developer Days Barcelona.
We would like to thank everybody for submitting 34 the amazing session proposals. Although we had a difficult time choosing the sessions, the great proposals made it easy to come up with a program bursting with all that is hot and happening in the Drupal universe.
Checkout the 34 sessions that made it to the final program. Besides sessions you will be able to attend sprints and of course there will be enough room for BOFs too.
We're opening the event with an Open Space activity on Friday at 4pm, find more details in here.
Our scholarship program provides financial support for Drupal developers, who would otherwise not be able to attend, so that they can participate in the Drupal Developer Days.
We are very happy to announce the names of the five attendees that will receive these scholarships.
Do like them and help us rock Barcelona by becoming sponsor of the Drupal Developer Days Barcelona. Find the details of the different sponsorship levels and the great companies that already have confirmed their support on the website.
We have over 150 registered attendees now so there is plenty of room for more. For a modest 25 EUR entrance fee we serve you an action packed program as well as coffee & biscuits.
If you already pre-registered please sign in and complete the payment process.Read more

January 27-28-29 I'm organizing a follow up of the Drupal CXO days in Amsterdam. The event will again be sponsored by Microsoft (special thanks go to Michaela Kraft who organized the venue and the budget for the meetup).
This meetup aims to facilitate peer-to-peer learning about business processes between leadership of Drupal shops. What are the best practices? What kind of processes do you need? How do you grow from a entrepreneur centered culture to a process driven culture?Read more
I'm considering organizing a Drupal products summit some time this fall. The main purpose of the meeting would be to create a knowledge sharing platform for Drupal shops/individuals that are working on a product: anything built with Drupal that has a repeatable business model (can be specialized services for Drupal shops, distributions, applications, websites built with Drupal that target a certain market segment).
The main practical outcomes I hope to achieve with this meeting are:
- The creation of a workgroup that will build an ethical Drupal Application Store
- Increase of knowledge about lean startup methodologies in the Drupal community
- Strengthening the network of Drupal product companies and the creation of a mutual support community
The DC London Marketing Team needs to urgently recruit an Online PR person to help write press releases and distribute useful information and news about DC London to the Drupal blogging community and other interested stakeholders. The role will involve building a mailing list of Drupal bloggers, plan communications campaigns, write interesting press releases, and distribute information and goodies to bloggers. Also, importantly, get feedback from the blogger community and listen to their ideas and respond to requests for info where required.Read more
