European Regional DrupalCon Organizers
This is the central coordination group for planning the european DrupalCon. This group is responsible for:
- making recommendations to the Board for the location of Drupalcon Europe 2011 and beyond.
- organizing and coordinating all non-logistical details for Drupalcon Europe starting 2010. This includes: programming, speaker selection, social activities, the conference Web site.

Scorecard for DrupalCon Europe Location
This document was approved by the European Regional DrupalCon Organizers after a discussion and vote on September 24, 2009.
The Location Selection Taskforce will use these criteria to evaluate locations, teams, and venues. Each item will be given 1 to 3 points. In addition, the events organizing firm hired by the Drupal Association will evaluate locations and venues with their own criteria geared at production issues, and return a ranked list of preferred venues. Finally, a preference poll open to anyone in the Drupal community will be run, and this too will generate a numeric score that will influence the recommendation to the BoD.

Drupalcon 2010 in Copenhagen
The Drupal Association just approved the proposal from the Danish team to organize Drupalcon 2010 in Copenhagen. The conference will take place in August, the exact date will be finalized in the coming week.
If you wonder what kind of greatness is waiting for you, check out their proposal at http://drupalcon.dk/cph/node/35 or http://drupalcon.dk/cph/node/35?print&book_recurse
Congratulations to the Danish team!
ONE Google Map showing the hole worlds Drupalcon addresses
I would gladly make such a map and will ask you what you think about this idea? I'm not sure this is the correct place to make this subject but couldn't find a site where ALL the Drupalcon were mentioned.
A test site can be seen here http://www.tinemuller.dk/drupalcon/map/ and only the first name is for Drupal the two other links are for libraries. :-)
Click the link and from the InfoWindow click Cartrip and you will see that in the dropdown menu the address and coordinates are here for San Francisco. You could also read the english help instructions.
The Selection Taskforce DrupalCon 2010 Recommendation
Hello Drupal Community and DrupalCon Teams!
It has taken longer than originally expected, but finally after long and careful deliberation, we, the selection taskforce committee, recommend Copenhagen for the DrupalCon 2010. The commitment and relentless enthusiasm of the Danish team during the evaluation process gave us also full confidence that they are ready to organize a DrupalCon that rocks in the 9 months that is left.
Transparency ?
There were a lot of talk of transparency when this whole drupalcon 2010 + 2011 started
i for one is missing this now
We are at least a month over the deadline - and very little have been told out to the public from the european group.
I know im not the only one who really hope to just hear something. - yup the danes & ze germans did meet in stockholm this weekend, and without any fighting breaking out ;)
To be dead honest - we need to hear something soon - else its gotta be pretty hard to get everything done in good time for 2010.
So could we:

Reunião do dia 23 na Cinemateca. Reunion of the 23rd at the Cinematheque.
jantar.
Sobre o Drupalcamp Lx. As ideias a serem desenvolvidas:
Conclusões e questões em aberto depois do encontro no IRC. Afterthougts and opens issues after IRC metting
IRC (#drupal-pt).
-
O Drupalcamp será em Lisboa no próximo ano. Idealmente antes do
Drupalcon US e numa data suficientemente afastada do
Drupalcamp Espanha. -
As sessões
porto-meetup2010.drupalcamp-pt.org
coimbra-meetup2010.drupalcamp-pt.org.
Realizations and open questions after the virtual meetup on IRC of the

Berlin Q & A IRC meeting
The DrupalCon Germany IRC Q&A will take place October 13th at 20:00 CET (7 p.m. UK, 2 p.m. US Eastern) in Freenode #drupalcon channel.
Have a look at our proposal and proposal page (some good questions came in since we posted) here: http://groups.drupal.org/node/28210
We're looking forward to answering your questions!
Revised Schedule for DrupalCon city announcement
The Scandinavian team introduced a new element, and we realized that the IRC meetings are actually very valuable.
We would like to have all three teams up for a meeting (the London team is following tonight), to complement our scoring.
The Germans are missing, as of now; when could you do an IRC meeting?
Because of these IRC meetings, we have been pushing our internal meeting date as well, so everyone has a chance, of communicating with us, before we make our recommendation to the DA.
DrupalCon London 2011 Proposal IRC Q&A
If you're interested in a London DrupalCon please join us on IRC #drupalcon for a two hour Q&A session starting 9 p.m. (GMT) on Friday 9th October.
Hats of to the Copenhagen team who did a similar Q&A session this week which you can read here:
http://drupalcon.dk/planning/node/115
We'll also post the log of our session here as a comment.
You can read the DrupalCon London proposal here:

Location Selection Taskforce, personnel change
Germany has submitted a strong nomination to host DrupalCon in Berlin. As I am the Vice President of the Drupal-Initiative, Germany's Drupal-supporting non-profit, and since the Drupal-Initiative is in part sponsoring the nomination proposal, and helped plan and draft it, I feel it would be unfair for me to rate the other proposals. One could say there is a conflict of interest.
DrupalCon 2010 and 2011 Proposals are in
And the proposals are all in.
We have therefore nominations for the following cities in the following years:

Cool: Proposal just in time ,-)
The German Drupal Community is proud to nominate Berlin for DrupalCon Europe 2010 or 2011. See attached PDF for details.
[UPDATE]
During the hectic excitement around the preparation of our proposal, Isabell Schultz's name came up in some discussions. In a moment of over-enthusiasm, it was included in our proposal by mistake.
