Formerly known as Calcutta, Kolkata is India's second largest city and is located in eastern India. To keep up with the rapidly growing Kolkata (and near Kolkata) community of Drupal users, designers, and developers we have started this group based in Sector V, Salt Lake, Kolkata. Visiting Kolkata
Hello Kolkata Drupalers!
I will be visiting Kolkata during this coming June/July, and I am wondering if there are any recommendations for things I should do while I'm there. Specifically, are there any Drupal meetups or other gatherings that I could attend or be a part of? I am an English speaker, and I am making an honest attempt to learn some Bengali, but I doubt that I will be fluent enough to discuss Drupal topics. Nevertheless, I would love to see what's going on!
Just wanted to put this out there and see if anyone has suggestions or ideas. Thanks!
Data entry form consisting of different node types
In my Drupal 7 project I have two node types:
- Student (Roll_No,Name,Qualifcation)
- Courses (Course_Code, Course_Name,Fees,Duration)
First I have added a number of courses - for e.g. Drupal, Magento, CakePHP..

How to make a sub-theme of Bartik - Chapter 2 "template.php" (Part-3)
Now come to Header Menu Style. Drupal 7 has simple Menu Bar system. It has no drop down menus. Many people have suggested to use Nice menu module or Superfish. There is a discussion forum also in http://drupal.org. In this section we will learn how to dodge drupal core menu system. Now start editing. In this section first you have to add body classes if you have regions with full of contents. You must observe that there are few extra lines added in the following codes compare to core Bartik.
You have to define the functions. Just you define the functions and name it as per your theme i.e "themaccu". You must see I have added new "topcolumn" regions in this theme whereas core Bartik has no such regions.

Drupal Training Day - Kolkata
We will run a 'basic drupal training' on the global drupal training day. The idea is to expand horizontally in the web development space of Kolkata. There are not really a lot of Drupalers in Kolkata. We are trying to use the Free Drupal Training Day as a platform to reach a lot of upcoming web developers (i.e. the students) and an equally high number of web developers who are using open source technologies (or others) but are yet to give give Drupal a try.

Jaipur Drupal Users Group (JaiDUG) meetup for DCD'12
Hi Friends,
As you all know "Drupal Camp Delhi, 12" is announced for 8-9 December. (http://drupalcampdelhi.in/) at JNU, Delhi. Previous years DCD had hosted Dries Buyateart (creator of Drupal and the CTO of Acquia) and Ronald C. Apart from all the learning, fun and networking in the DCD as last year, one of the key agenda for this year event would be to brainstorm and bring to shape an organisational structure to the Indian Drupal Community and form something like "Drupal Assocation of India" which would subsequently chase the Indian Community Dream of having a "Drupalcon India" in the next 1-2 years.
Highly experienced Drupal developers and trainers are traveling from various cities in India for this year's event to deliver sessions. Also, trainings are being conducted to help developers from other technologies and other CMSs to help them to learn and cross-over to Drupal. Case Studies of live websites would be presented, Birds of Feather (BoF) sessions would be organized as well.
For the Jaipur Drupal Users Group (JaiDUG) this is a great opportunity to 1) participate in the Delhi Camp b) use this opportunity to lay the foundations & bring life into the Jaipur Drupal Community. ( We are almost an extention of Delhi Drupal Community due to vicinity and culture reasons in my opinion )
I propose to start local meetups in Jaipur with the first of it being on this saturday - 10 Nov ' 12
